I’m absolutely thrilled by the
warm reception The Land of No Food! has received from readers and
reviewers alike. To see people connect with the world I imagined—and to hear
that both children and adults are enjoying it—means the world to me.
This story has been with me
for a long time. It follows Prince Durst, a leader from Wales, as he
faces a terrifying crisis—his people are running out of food, and the
once-plentiful Welsh dragons have vanished. In a desperate bid to save his
tribe, he sets sail across dangerous waters, eventually landing in the mythical
land of Zitan, where a powerful Queen is being tormented by dragons.
What happens next is unexpected—his biggest problem may just become his
greatest solution.
At its core, this is a story
about courage, sacrifice, and how sometimes, the answers we’re looking for come
from the most unlikely places. I poured my love for folklore, adventure, and
music into this tale, and I’m so grateful to see it resonate with others.
I first began writing this
book while living in Hamburg, Germany, and now, back in Caerphilly,
South Wales, surrounded by the familiar hills and my family, it’s
incredibly rewarding to finally share it with the world.
Thank you to everyone who’s
picked up a copy or shared a kind word. If you haven’t yet, I invite you to
dive into the world of The Land of No Food! and join Prince Durst on his
unforgettable journey.
